Here is a direction I decided to go in the composition might change but the style is definitely where I want it to be. All the elements are going to start from the "line" the text will come out from the lines the arrows are just there to show the direction of motion for text.
here is a quick preview of how the line will animate with the instruments
hey edwing, i think this could be pretty interesting. it's smart to use motion and drawing to keep the emphasis on the line quality. consider various ways that text can behave in contrast to the linework b/c you don't want everything communicating the same qualities. if the line is be-bopping around in an energetic fashion, is the typography providing some kind of counterpoint to the line? is it slower and smoother, or does it pop in super-fast alongside certain musical accents? do you try to accentuate the "warped" look on the poster in some way? i think you should always keep that line somewhat wavy -- the first and last frame show a very straight line and that's much less interesting and "human". i say push forward and do more motion tests! start building that thing out.
