[Edwing] Language

Cubism is recognized as one of the most influential art movements of the 20th century. It influenced Gertrude Stein to write these poems and it influenced my designs. Stein made a series of still lifes with literature; she broke the normal standards for writing and depicted these things using elements like rhythm, anticipation, and sounds. I formatted each poem is formatted differently to express the different elements she used. I used Furtura as the typeface for the reason that cubism relies a lot of geometry the same as Futura; the typeface also hold numerous variations, which helped in expressing various emphasis on words and phrases. This anthology is meant to express the language in order to make Tender buttons more understandable. These simple poems can sometimes be intimidating but they are clever and my hopes are for this to be an approachable book that one can easily interact with.

These are screen shots from the ipad version. It was a new experience and i enjoyed it since it is pretty similar to web design which is one of my favorite parts or design.
